Advices on Wood Storage

How many times have you heard that hardwood trees (beech, oak and hornbeam) the best wood for firewood? That's no accident!

It is hardwood wood that keeps the house warm for the longest time because it does not burn quickly and when it burns it releases energy of as much as 1.850kWh per cubic meter!

Thanks to many years of experience,we give our customers advices for proper storage of chopped hardwood wood:

If possible, store the wood in a sunny place exposed to the wind and mandatory on a dry surface. Raise the wood from the ground at least 20cm to prevent moisture from passing from the ground. Do not store fresh logs in closed, especially not in moist premises (e.g. basement), and do not wrap them in materials that would slow down or interrupt the natural drying process. After the summer drying period, it is desired to protect the wood from precipitation. If you burn with exactly dry wood, you will save energy and achieve the desired room temperature easier.

Your Drvosječa offers you wood cut from hardwood logs (beech, oak and hornbeam) and chopped into firewood diameter average 5-20 cm.

There is no fixed diameter and the customer can request dimensions as he wants according with his needs!
