The Forest Stewardship Council, (eng. Forest Stewardship Council®), abbreviated as FSC®, is a non-governmental organization founded in 1993. in response to deforestation in the world, propagating that when exclusively considered as an acceptable source of forest produce only those products that come from managed forests in a correct (responsible) way.

CERTIFICATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH FSC® STANDARDS IS AN ACT ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS, AIMING TO SUPPORT RESPONSIBLE FOREST MANAGEMENT ON A GLOBAL LEVEL. CONSIDERING THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN WOOD PRODUCTS MUST BE CERTIFIED. 

With this in mind, by purchasing a wood product from FSC® certified company, the customer can be sure that the purchased forest product (wood, wood products, paper and paper products) comes from forests which are managed responsibly.

The DRVOSJEČA company has been a holder of the FSC® CoC certificate since November 2022. It is generally accepted that forest resources and associated land should be managed in a way that respects the sociological, economic, ecological, cultural and spiritual needs of present and future generations.

The FSC certificate is a confirmation of our quality approach forest resource companies that, with this certificate, now internationally recognized that it conducts its business in the wood industry sector in accordance with strict criteria. In fact, it is a recognition of our long-term work and effort in the wood industry sector, which we have been showing for over 20 years, responsibly and correctly managing the forest, which is an extremely important natural resource in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Since certification is a process, not a one-time action, it is a permanent commitment to responsible management, which is, when the forest is in question, of critical importance.

This basically means that maintaining high standards, according to the provisions of the FSC, will be the permanent orientation of our company, and that there are a number of obligations ahead of us that we must fulfill in order to maintain the certificate.
